Somalia has numerous problems, such as a lack of political stability, poverty, and drought. For this reason, it has lagged far behind other countries in the fields of health and education. Somalia is struggling to improve its education and health systems even with its limited resources. Girls are prevented from going to school.

    • Education Challenges

Due to the lack of resources in Somalia, access to quality education is minimal, while obstacles are created even for girls to go to educational institutions. Many children in Somalia cannot go to school due to the country’s conflict, lack of political stability, and poverty.

    • Healthcare Issues

In Somalia, where problems plague the education system, there is also a lack of good hospitals and doctors for health care. The high maternal and child mortality rate in Somalia is only due to the lack of good hospitals and good doctors.

    • Impact of Conflict and Poverty

Ongoing conflict and widespread poverty disrupt both the education and health care systems, hindering development. These factors also contribute to the cycle of poverty and ill health.

    • Gender Disparities

In Somalia, obstacles are created for children, especially girls, to go to educational and health institutions, due to which this country is far behind other countries in the field of education and health. Here, due to tribal and cultural norms, many girls are deprived of education and health resources, and many girls cannot attend education and health institutions simply because of security concerns.

    • Infrastructure Limitations

Somalia is a poor country which is why the country lacks good educational institutions, hospitals, clinics, good roads, and good infrastructure due to lack of resources and funds.

    • Health Crises and Emergencies

Somalia is the only country in the world where there is the most drought. Due to this reason, most diseases spread in this country and the people also suffer from lack of food. Due to the lack of good hospitals and staff, the country’s situation worsens.

To solve the health and education problems in Somalia, we need good schools and hospitals with good staff and increased investment in these institutions. Most importantly, there is a need to overcome tribal traditions in Somalia, which prohibit girls from attending educational and health institutions.
