Iran’s Fars News Agency has revealed alarming new information about an Israeli attack that targeted a closed-door meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
The meeting, which included Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, was held in a fortified government building in western Tehran on the morning of Monday, June 13.
Precision Operation Suggests Major Security Breach Within Iranian Institutions
According to Fars, the attack was carried out with advanced methods, indicating a significant security breach at the highest levels of the Iranian government.
The operation specifically targeted a highly confidential session attended by the heads of Iran’s three branches of power.
Along with top political and security leaders, held in a secure underground bunker within an official government facility.

Was the Target an Assassination of the Iranian President?
Details indicate that six precision missiles or guided munitions were used to strike the entrances and exits of the bunker, with the aim of isolating the meeting room and cutting off ventilation and electricity.
This led to a complete power outage and a situation of chaos and suffocation due to smoke and lack of air circulation, according to the report.
Despite the severity of the attack, attendees were able to evacuate through a secret emergency exit.
Some sustained minor injuries due to panic and stampedes, including the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who reportedly suffered a leg injury during the evacuation, as confirmed by the agency.
Suspicions of Insider Involvement
Fars report raised the possibility of internal collusion or infiltration within Iranian security agencies, suggesting that sensitive information may have been leaked.
The leaked data reportedly included:
- The timing of the meeting
- Details of the building’s security features
- Locations of the key officials
- Escape routes and emergency protocols
These leaks have prompted Iranian authorities to launch an extensive investigation to identify the source of the breach and those responsible for providing the information.
Iranian President Confirms Assassination Attempt in Interview with Tucker Carlson
In a televised interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Iranian President Pezeshkian hinted at surviving an Israeli assassination attempt, without offering further details.
He noted, however, that the incident occurred during the early stages of a military escalation between Iran and Israel.
Serious Security and Political Implications Inside Iran
This incident has exposed vulnerabilities in Iran’s internal security, even within its most sensitive and protected institutions.
It raises serious questions about the effectiveness of Iran’s intelligence and security infrastructure in protecting its top leadership from such complex and targeted attacks.
As investigations continue, concerns are mounting over the possibility of similar future operations targeting strategic locations and senior officials.
Especially amid rising tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv and an increasingly volatile regional climate.
