Chinese automotive giant BYD has stunned the global electric vehicle market with the launch of BYD Super e-Platform, capable of charging vehicles at a rate of up to 1000 kW.
This technology allows EVs to gain up to 400 km of range in just five minutes.
Marking a massive leap in charging efficiency and eliminating one of the biggest drawbacks of electric mobility—long charging times.
BYD e-Platform runs on a 1000-volt system, surpassing rivals like Lucid Motors and redefining fast-charging benchmarks.
However, the system requires specialized charging stations, prompting plans to roll out 4,000 new ultra-fast stations across China.

The technology will debut in BYD Han L and Tang L models, both featuring ultra-high-performance motors capable of delivering 777 horsepower and rotational speeds exceeding 30,000 RPM.
Powered by next-generation silicon carbide chips, these motors also promise greater energy efficiency.
