The accused stabbed husband, Police in Mogadishu have arrested a woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband in the Dayniile district, according to a statement issued by the Banadir Regional Police Command on Thursday.

The accused stabbed husband, the suspect, identified as Fadumo Mohamed Osman, was taken into custody shortly after the killing of Hassan Mohamed Nur, who police say died from severe injuries sustained in a knife attack allegedly carried out by his wife.

Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the incident, adding that the suspect will be brought before the courts once the inquiry is complete.

The accused stabbed husband, the police command also noted that cases involving deadly domestic violence between couples have been on the rise in parts of the country, with several suspects currently in custody awaiting trial.
Such cases involving deadly domestic violence rose, are creating concerns among Somali community which they already did not experience. However, the Federal government and its member states are coping with such new cases to handle.
