More than 200 Palestinians have been killed or reported missing in a fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza Strip since early Friday morning, according to medical sources.
The escalating bombardment has raised the two-day death toll to over 250, marking one of the deadliest phases of the ongoing conflict.
120 People are Missing Due to Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza
Medical officials said that 75 people were confirmed dead today, with 64 of them killed in northern Gaza.
Particularly in Beit Lahia and Jabalia refugee camp, where densely populated residential homes were directly targeted.
The Director of Field Hospitals in Gaza reported that at least 120 people are still missing under the rubble.
This raises concerns of a much higher eventual death toll.
Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza Continue and Civil Defense and Emergency Teams Struggle
The strikes come amid reports from Israeli sources suggesting this may be a prelude to a wider military operation in the enclave.
Images from the scene show civil defense and emergency teams struggling to recover bodies and assist the wounded.
Efforts are being severely hampered by a critical shortage of rescue equipment and medical supplies.
The latest escalation underscores the urgent need for international intervention as Gaza’s humanitarian crisis spirals, with infrastructure under strain and thousands of families displaced.
