Strategic Significance of Southern Somalia
Southern Somalia remains a key battleground in the war on terror.
The region’s proximity to Mogadishu, as well as its fertile farmlands and trade routes, make it strategically important for both the government and extremist groups.
Securing these areas is crucial for stabilizing Somalia and enabling humanitarian efforts to reach communities long affected by conflict and displacement.
