The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, delivered a powerful address at the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, Qatar.

The summit focused on the recent Israeli attack against the country, and President Hassan Sheikh used the platform to reinforce Somalia’s commitment to regional peace and stability.

Solidarity with Qatar Amid Recent Israeli Attack

President Hassan Sheikh reaffirmed Somalia’s solidarity with the government and people of Qatar during this challenging period.

He described the attack as not only a direct threat to Qatar but as a violation that affects all Arab nations. Highlighting the need for unity and cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries, he emphasized that collective regional response is essential to prevent further escalation and ensure stability across the Middle East.

Upholding Palestinian Rights and International Law

A key focus of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud speech was Somalia’s historic support for the Palestinian people in the face of occupation and oppression.

He called for unified action to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, underscoring the urgent need to uphold international law and implement United Nations resolutions.

According to the President, ending Israel’s acts of aggression is not only a matter of justice but also a prerequisite for maintaining long-term peace and security in the region.

    Promoting Regional Cooperation and Stability

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud stressed that Arab-Islamic unity is critical for managing current crises and preventing future conflicts.

By promoting coordinated diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, Arab and Islamic nations can effectively respond to challenges that threaten regional stability.

Somalia, he noted, stands ready to work with all partners to ensure that conflicts do not escalate and that humanitarian needs are met promptly.

Somalia’s Strategic Role in Arab-Islamic Diplomacy

The President’s address also highlighted Somalia’s growing role in Arab-Islamic diplomacy.
By reaffirming solidarity with affected nations while maintaining an independent foreign policy, Somalia positions itself as a responsible and active participant in multilateral initiatives.

This approach enhances the country’s diplomatic profile and opens doors for cooperation in peacebuilding, security, and humanitarian programs.

Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit: Collaborative Solutions for Peace

In concluding his speech, the Somali president called for collaborative solutions to address ongoing conflicts, including humanitarian aid, peacekeeping initiatives, and sustained dialogue among regional stakeholders.

He emphasized that coordinated action and solidarity among Arab and Islamic nations will be essential for ensuring long-term regional stability and a peaceful future for all.
