The Somali Military Court announced on Thursday that it had executed three Al-Shabaab members by firing squad, following their conviction for terrorist activities.
Including targeted assassinations and planned attacks on civilians and security forces.

The executed individuals were identified as:

    • Qudama Hamza Yusuf Mohamed
    • Abdi Hassan Roble
    • Ibrahim Omar Shamuun

According to court officials, the men were found guilty of carrying out organized killings and engaging in operations that posed a threat to national security.

The death sentences were upheld after all stages of investigation and trial were completed in line with Somali law.

The executions were carried out in Mogadishu in the presence of senior National Army officers, representatives from the Military Prosecution, and judicial observers.

Authorities say the move underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to combating terrorism, ensuring accountability for extremist violence, and reinforcing the rule of law across Somalia.
