Sectors such as agriculture and livestock in Somalia face challenges due to the weather and climate. Due to long-term drought, crop yields decrease, and people’s animals die. Due to this drought, people must migrate in large numbers and become homeless. Food and water security is one of the major problems here.

To avoid such weather and drought, it is necessary to use modern technology including modern agricultural methods. Foreign investment is working to develop sectors that will improve Somalia’s economy. All this is due to political instability, tribal conflicts, and terrorism here. When these challenges are overcome, Somalia’s economic and economic development will increase.

Impact of Climate Change on Somalia’s Agriculture and Livelihoods

Here, climate change has the biggest impact on agriculture and livestock. Because more than 70% of the population here is employed in agriculture and livestock these sectors are prone to droughts every year due to climatic changes. Millions of livestock die every year and millions of people are forced to migrate and become homeless due to lack of food.

There is a decrease in the production of crops due to which animals including humans also die of hunger. People lose their jobs, and this has a deep impact on the economy of Somalia. 70% of people in Somalia depend on agriculture, meaning that this sector contributes 60% of Somalia’s GDP.

Sustainable Water Management Practices in a Changing Climate

Since Somalia is prone to drought due to climate change, there is a shortage of food and water. The level of underground water is getting lower and lower. And this shortage of water is affecting every sector of life. Water scarcity is adversely affecting both the human population and the ecosystem here in Somalia. To deal with this challenge, water was saved by using modern methods.

Water for irrigation can be conserved by harvesting rainwater and recycling water. By adopting these innovative methods, Somalia’s food and water challenges can be tackled. But for this, foreign investment is necessary. Because Somalia lacks resources, these problems can only be solved through foreign investment companies.

Community-Led Adaptation Strategies for Building Resilience

The Somali community is now facing such problems according to the principles of modern technology. These people have adopted more than one job to increase their income. And have developed an early warning system to deal with the natural weather here. Through these systems, they know in advance that the weather is going to deteriorate, and they make their arrangements in advance.

Climate change is one of Somalia’s major challenges. Due to these climate changes, Somalia’s economy suffers a lot every year. The employment of the people here is related to agriculture, so the drought affects the agriculture sector the most. This causes malnutrition and animals die. Apart from this, millions of people become homeless every year. These problems and challenges can be overcome through foreign investment and innovative methods of technology. Because Somalia lacks resources, foreign investment is the only solution.
