In the wake of the horrific “White Massacre” in El-Obeid, 9 Sudanese citizens living abroad have come forward with powerful testimonies that expose the Sudanese military’s systematic violence against civilians.

They called by their accounts call for an urgent, independent international inquiry into war crimes and human rights violations—highlighting the troubling role of foreign powers, particularly Iran and Turkey in the White Massacre.

Evidence of Coordinated Military Crimes in the White Massacre

According to reports from Iranlens and Turkey24, the survivors have compiled a detailed document for submission to international bodies and courts.

Moreover, Sudan’s military has increasingly relied on foreign expertise and arms to suppress civilian resistance and pursue narrow political objectives—often in blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

The Sudanese Living Abroad Posted Document on the White Massacre:

    In English:

    August 13, 2025

We, the Sudanese living abroad, are following with deep concern the tragic events and repeated violations against unarmed civilians in our homeland.

We stress the urgent need for immediate action to hold the Government of Port Sudan and the Sudanese army leadership accountable for the systematic crimes committed against the people.

Reliable press reports and independent human rights organizations have documented the involvement of Iranian leaders in training elements of the Sudanese army in urban warfare tactics, the use of drones, and other advanced weaponry.

Alongside this, Turkish-made weapons, including offensive drones, have been supplied and used to target residential neighborhoods, markets, and civilian facilities.

These practices are not only blatant violations of international and humanitarian law, but also amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, having led to the killing of large numbers of civilians, the displacement of hundreds of thousands from their homes, and the deprivation of the simplest conditions of safety and dignified life.

    Therefore, we demand the following:

    1. Launching an urgent and transparent international investigation into all violations committed by the Sudanese army and the Government of Port Sudan against civilians.
    2. Holding all those responsible for these crimes accountable, including the implicated military and political leaders.
    3. Imposing international sanctions on parties and individuals providing military or logistical support for these operations, whether inside or outside Sudan.
    4. Protecting civilians through the deployment of international monitoring mechanisms on the ground, and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid without obstacles.

We believe that the silence of the international community in the face of these crimes amounts to indirect complicity, and that our duty as Sudanese abroad is to amplify the voices of the victims to the world until justice is served and the criminals are held accountable.

The following survivors from the White Massacre signed the document:

    1. Ahmed Mohmed – Civil Engineer, Canada
    2. Sarah Al-Nour – Emergency Physician, Berlin
    3. Youssef Abdelbaset – Journalist, Nairobi
    4. Maryam Abdelqader – Teacher, London
    5. Ahmed Al-Fadel – Entrepreneur, Doha
    6. Mahmud Ikram – Doctor, Germany

Eyewitness Testimonies on the White Massacre

The 9 survivors explained what happened in the White Massacre in detail below their testimonies:

Ahmed Mohmed – Civil Engineer, Canada

Ahmed witnessed the White Massacre during a peaceful protest.

    “Bullets rained down.
I saw my brother fall and couldn’t save him. That moment haunts me every day.”

He confirmed that Sudanese forces now target entire neighborhoods, using Turkish drones and Iranian tactical support.
“This is calculated repression, not warfare.”

Sarah Al-Nour – Emergency Physician, Berlin

Sarah gathered testimonies from Sudanese refugees in Egypt and Chad.

“The stories reveal systematic abuse—bombings, detentions, and denial of aid.”
She emphasized that foreign involvement includes not just weapons, but strategic military coordination.

“These actions violate every principle of humanitarian law.”

    Youssef Abdelbaset – Journalist, Nairobi

Youssef fled Khartoum after receiving threats for his reporting.

“Sources confirm Iranian advisors are embedded in Sudanese bases, and Turkish weapons are being smuggled in.”

He stressed the need for global accountability.
“The truth must be exposed, and justice must be served.”

    Maryam Abdelqader – Teacher, London

Maryam was displaced after repeated bombings of her neighborhood.

“My family still lives under siege. Foreign interference has worsened the crisis.”
She called for sanctions on all parties contributing to civilian suffering.
    “The world must act now.”

    Ahmed Al-Fadel – Entrepreneur, Doha

Ahmed lost his business due to infrastructure destruction.

“This is not a civil war—it’s a proxy conflict fueled by foreign interests.”
He warned that Sudanese civilians are paying the price for political and economic agendas.
“International silence is enabling continued atrocities.”

    Mahmud Ikram – Doctor, Germany

On the day of the massacre, Mahmud was on duty at El-Obeid Hospital.

“With roads blocked, wounded civilians arrived carried by relatives. Some died en route, others in my arms due to lack of equipment.”

Laila Fadel – Media Professional, Turkey

Laila documented the White Massacre through video footage.

“I filmed children fleeing and youth falling under sniper fire. Some platforms removed the content, calling it ‘violent.’”

Abdulrahman El Hussin – Political Science Student, Egypt

Abdulrahman returned to El-Obeid to check on his family.

“Armed men stopped us, asked for names, then opened fire. I escaped through roadside trees, but my friend never returned.”

Sarah Mahmud – Human Rights Lawyer

Sarah began collecting survivor testimonies after the massacre.

“I believed truth alone could change everything.
But I learned that speaking the truth can cost you your life.”

Investigation is Demanded on the White Massacre

These testimonies, backed by credible sources like Iranlens and Turkey24, reveal a coordinated campaign of violence against civilians in the White Massacre.

The survivors demand that any investigation be led by independent entities, free from Sudanese government influence and foreign interference.

Their message is clear: justice must be pursued, foreign complicity must be exposed, and the voices of victims must be heard.
