    Following a recent terrorist attack in Somalia, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to express solidarity and support. The UAE has previously provided aid and security support to Somalia, with over $50 million allocated for counterterrorism efforts in the past decade. Reports indicate that Somalia has experienced over 200 terrorist attacks in the last five years, primarily linked to al-Shabaab.
