    Youth unemployment is a serious problem in Somalia, stemming from a lack of education, limited economic opportunities, and ongoing political crises. The program aims to provide employment skills training, business opportunities, and financial support to empower youth. Through this initiative, the youth are allowed to play a strong economic role, paving the way for economic growth and lasting stability in the country.

    Understanding the Roots of Youth Unemployment in Somalia

    The problem of youth unemployment in Somalia is the result of several factors, including prolonged political unrest, weak economic infrastructure, and lack of investment in job creation. A substandard education system prevents young people from acquiring skills that are essential for employment. Such desperation not only increases poverty but also causes chaos and unrest in society. Improving the economic condition of the youth can help in building peace and promoting social harmony.

    Policy Recommendations and Future Directions

To this end, economic growth can be paved through educational reforms, vocational training, and investment.     Reducing youth unemployment in Somalia requires comprehensive measures that promote education, vocational skills, and diversification of industries. To create adequate opportunities for economic development, the public and private sectors must work together to actively involve the youth in economic activities. In addition, it is important to create sustainable employment opportunities for the youth through collective strategies and increase their economic potential.

    In addition, the government must prioritize youth inclusion policies and programs that consider their needs at the local level. Better employment prospects for the youth can be created if the education system and skill development programs are aligned with the needs of the industries.
