    In a continued effort to alleviate suffering among vulnerable communities, King Salman Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed critical aid supplies to displaced families in Baki Camp, located in Somalia’s Awdal Region.

    The initiative forms part of the 2025 shelter and non-food assistance project, aimed at supporting fragile populations across the Horn of Africa.

    What Did King Salman Relief Center Distributed in Somalia’s Awdal Region ?

    • 130 shelter kits to enhance living conditions in displacement camps
    • 100 clothing kits to provide warmth and dignity
    • 10 durable tents for immediate shelter needs

    The humanitarian relief benefitted 1,440 individuals across 240 families, offering them essential resources during challenging times marked by displacement, climate shocks, and limited access to basic services.

    Broader Impact of King Salman Relief Center in Somalia:

    This latest campaign builds on KSrelief’s ongoing projects in Somalia, which span sectors such as healthcare, food security, water sanitation, and emergency response.

    Since launching operations in the region, KSrelief has collaborated with local and international partners to reach internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and communities impacted by drought and conflict.

    In previous years, KSrelief supported:

    • Mobile clinics and vaccination drives in hard-to-reach areas
    • Distribution of food baskets during Ramadan and seasonal crises
    • Clean water initiatives benefiting rural settlements

    Global Commitment to Relief and Development

    KSrelief, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, plays a pivotal role in delivering aid to crisis-affected regions worldwide.

    Operating in more than 90 countries, KSrelief focuses on rapid response, sustainable development, and long-term recovery.

    This latest effort in Somalia reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global solidarity and humanitarian outreach, ensuring the most vulnerable receive support and protection during times of uncertainty.
