Inauguration a special day for Somalia, the 25th East African Economic Cooperation (EAC) Trade Fair for Small and Medium Enterprises, which was attended by Somali businessmen for the first time, was special for the Somali community today, which was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Members of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Somali Ambassador to Kenya, the Director General of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Somalia, the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, officials from the East African Economic Cooperation (EAC), UNIDO and Cowater agencies, diplomats, businessmen and other guests invited to the forum.

Inauguration a special day for Somalia, Somali businessmen, including small and medium-sized enterprises, from 28 companies in our country and known for their entrepreneurial spirit, presented various products, traditions and culture of the country at the forum.

The officials inspected the various product display areas and listened to reports from the traders.
The Director General of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Osman, indicated that this was a successful step for the entire Somali community.
The Somali Ambassador to Kenya, Ambassador Jabriil Ibrahim Cabdulle, and other officials who spoke at the forum jointly noted the role of Somali traders in developing trade and creating investment opportunities.
THE ROLE OF SOMALI TRADERS
Inauguration a special day for Somalia, the European Union Ambassador to Somalia, Ms. Frensesko Demori, highlighted that Somali traders played an active role in this exhibition.

The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Mohamed Abdi Xayir Maareeye, who officially inaugurated today’s exhibition, which was unique to Somalis, commended the traders for continuing to showcase the beautiful products and other materials exported from our country.
Inauguration a special day for Somalia, the exhibition, which began on the 7th of this month and will run until the 16th, will be officially opened on the 11th of this month by Kenyan President William Ruto.
