Somalia’s e-Visa and the blame, he said he had discovered that Premier Bank and a company called Empire, owned by the family of President Hassan Sheikh, were benefiting from the new scheme. He added that the Somali immigration fee was paid through Premier Bank, and that it was not a regular payment service, but a pre-planned scheme.

“He went to great lengths to hide the fact that he and this company owned the E-Visa, which is why it took so long to find out who was actually receiving the money, which was Empire and the bank responsible for this project,” Ahmed said.
Somalia’s e-Visa and the blame, he said that when he found out about the matter, he spoke directly to the chairman of Premier Bank, who explained in detail that they were responsible for the illegal immigration project and who they were working with.
“I was really surprised that a bank I know would do something like this,” Ahmed said. “After a long discussion, I said: wow, you are also being hurt by this, and we are not accepting it.”

“The only thing we agreed on was that I said: take this checkpoint you put there for us, and we will not take it. There is nothing else,” he continued.
