    Despite limited resources and facing various challenges in Somalia, civil society is playing an important role in human rights on issues such as political instability and insecurity. This civil society in Somalia focuses on the rights of 40% of women because women’s rights are very limited in Somali society. Despite the lack of resources in Somalia, more than 600 civil society organizations are working for human rights.

    The aim of these organizations is to raise their voices against violence and establish peace in society. Providing human rights is very important for any country’s society and peace. Because of these organizations, 85% of Somali citizens have received justice. This justice for Somali citizens reflects the struggle of these organizations.

    Key Human Rights Challenges in Somalia

    Human rights resources are scarce in Somali society. Women’s rights are very limited. In Somalia, work on major challenges such as gender violence, and child labor is ongoing. Gender-based violence is very common in Somali society. Due to this, there is insecurity in society. Civil society and various organizations are working to deal with these challenges.     Political instability in Somalia is also a major reason for this. The main reasons for the decline in human rights in Somalia are the poor rule of law and limited resources. Many activities can be done to protect human rights by improving the law and expanding resources.

    Civil society in Somalia is working on many initiatives. These organizations are focusing mostly on women’s rights and education. Because women and their rights have an important role in Somali society. These organizations also support humanitarian aid and resource access in Somalia.

Somali society suffers from a lack of resources and insecurity, but civil society organizations are doing their best to overcome these problems in order to improve human rights and empower Somali citizens.
