Conflict in Badhan is a very big problem right now because a federal minister is saying bad things about how Puntland treats people. The Minister of Commerce Gamal Mohamed Hassan said that the soldiers used too much power against the civilians in that town. This happened in the Sanaag area when the president of Puntland wanted to come for a visit. Some people there did not like that and they started to protest in the streets. When we see the Tension in Badhan it makes everyone worried about the peace in the north.

The main reasons for the conflict in Badhan

The minister is very upset and said that the security forces used real bullets on the people who live there. He also mentioned that some women from a famous local family were treated very badly during the noise. The Tension in Badhan is making the relationship between the central government and the regional state very sour. Minister Gamal says that these kinds of actions are not acceptable and someone needs to pay for what happened. He even talked about old problems in Dhahar from last year to show that this is a habit for the Puntland forces.

It is really hard to get the full story because Puntland has not said anything back to the minister yet. The Tension in Badhan is happening in a place where many groups claim they are the boss. This makes it very confusing for the local people who are caught in the middle of big political fights. If the leaders keep using guns to solve arguments then the Tension in Badhan will only get bigger and more people will get hurt.

How the conflict in Badhan affects local families

The people living in Sanaag just want to have a normal life without worrying about soldiers in the streets. But the Tension in Badhan shows that politics can turn violent very quickly in these disputed zones. The minister thinks that the world should look at these violations and help the victims. Even though the details are not fully confirmed yet the news about the Tension in Badhan is spreading everywhere on the internet.

We can see that the conflict in Badhan is about who has the power to control the land and the people. When the president of a state wants to visit a town he should be welcomed but if the people are angry it causes a big mess. The federal government in Mogadishu is watching closely because the conflict in Badhan could lead to more trouble in other states too. Everyone is hoping that the elders can talk to both sides before more blood is spilled on the ground.

Training the soldiers to be calm is another thing that could help stop the conflict in Badhan from happening again. If the security forces know how to handle a crowd without using live ammo then things would be much safer for everyone. But right now the conflict in Badhan remains a very hot topic that shows how divided the country still is. It is not just about one town but about the future of how the states and the federal government work together.

In the end we have to wait and see if there will be a real investigation into the conflict in Badhan. The minister says he will hold people accountable but that is very hard to do in the current system. We just hope that the conflict in Badhan stops now so the kids in that town can go back to school without fear. Peace is the only thing that will help the people of Sanaag grow and be happy again.
