In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, visited the injured soldiers at De Martino Hospital today.
He checked on the health of Somali soldiers wounded on the frontlines in the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab terrorist group.

During his visit, President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality medical care and comprehensive support to injured service members, who he described as national heroes.
“You are the defenders of the people, the faith, the homeland, and the state. History will remember you, and the government stands with you always,” President Hassan Sheikh stated.
The president received a detailed briefing from hospital management on the current healthcare services offered.
As well as the challenges being faced by the facility, and plans for future development.
