Somali Minister of Defence, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, has confirmed that coordinated efforts are in progress to liberate the last remaining territories controlled by terrorist militias across the country.

The operations are being carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and the Somali National Army (SNA) Command.

Fiqi praised the Somali National Army and allied local resistance forces for their recent military gains in the Hiran region, where several high-ranking militants were neutralized in a series of successful operations. These victories, he noted, have significantly weakened terrorist influence in the area.

According to the Somali National News Agency (SONNA), the Somali Defence Minister stated that Al-Qaeda-linked militants are now facing increasing pressure, confusion, and disarray.
As a result of intensified joint offensives by government troops and community-led forces.

He emphasized that the extremist groups are on the verge of collapse, with many fighters attempting to flee the battlefield as the Somali forces press forward in their campaign to restore national stability and security.
