    In addition to the neighboring countries of Somalia, trade and friendly relations with the Gulf states are also very strong. This is the reason why Somalia’s trade exceeded 1 billion dollars in 2022. These good relations with the Gulf countries indicate the political and economic development of Somalia.

    Among the Gulf states, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are the leaders who have invested billions of dollars in Somalia. With this investment, Somalia’s infrastructure will be improved, and its economy will be strengthened. Youth will get employment and similarly, unemployment will decrease.

    Economic Ties: Trade, Investments, and Remittances

    The good relations of the Gulf states with Somalia are important for its development. The Gulf states, especially the United Arab Emirates, have made large-scale investments in various sectors in Somalia. The United Arab Emirates has invested billions of rupees to improve Somalia’s infrastructure. It is the Gulf state that has more than 1 billion dollars of commercial investment in 2022.

    The United Arab Emirates has renewed the ports of Somalia in an international style. The economic and economic situation of Somalia will improve with the investment of the Gulf states. Somalia’s remittances in trade with Gulf countries account for 25% of its entire GDP.

    Political Dynamics: Diplomatic Alignments and Rivalries

    Despite the mutual enmity and differences of the Gulf states, Somalia has established good friendly relations with each of them. Relations with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar have been handled with great care, keeping everyone happy and not making anyone angry.

    This is why Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates continue to provide financial and military aid to Somalia, and Qatar is providing funding to improve its infrastructure, but with the often-poor results of these Gulf states in Somalia’s elections. It has an effect.

    Security Cooperation: Military Support and Counterterrorism Efforts

    The Gulf states have always stood by Somalia because of good friendly relations. They provide billions of aid to Somalia in famine and drought and similarly provide military and financial aid to Somalia to eradicate terrorism. Among the Gulf states, the United Arab Emirates has announced a package of one billion dollars to end terrorism in Somalia in 2021. This aid package included military equipment and financial aid. The main reason for all these efforts is to bring stability to Somalia and provide an environment of peace and order to the trading system here.

    So, it has been proven that good friendly relations with the Gulf states are very important for the economic and economic development of Somalia. Due to relations with these states, Somalia is receiving military and financial aid. The Gulf states are investing billions of rupees here, which will have a profound impact on the economy of Somalia. Providing military aid will get rid of terrorism in Somalia. The main reason for the improvement of Somalia’s infrastructure is its good relations with the Gulf states. But sometimes Somalia’s foreign policy is highly fragmented due to diplomatic tensions between these Gulf states.
