    The Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has announced the adoption of a multi-dimensional strategy to counter terrorism by eliminating the terrorist groups Al-Shabaab and ISIS.
    Besides enhancing the country’s stability.

    Somali President Strategy to Counter Terrorism:

    President Mohamud explained that the Somali government is implementing an integrated approach consisting of several key pillars:

    • Military Operations: Intensifying military campaigns against terrorist strongholds in regions such as Middle and Lower Shabelle and Hiraan, inflicting significant losses on extremist groups.
    • International Cooperation: Strengthening partnerships with international allies to secure logistical and intelligence support for coordinated anti-terrorism efforts.
    • Disrupting Terror Financing: Shutting down suspicious bank accounts and disabling money transfer services used by terrorist groups to fund their operations.
    • Awareness and Reconciliation: Launching awareness campaigns to counter extremist ideologies and encouraging armed group members to defect and join rehabilitation programs.

    Somali President Strategy Brings Optimism

    The Somali president called on citizens to support the armed forces in their fight against terrorism.
