On Tuesday, the Somali Ministry of Defense announced that the army’s elite Danab Special Forces carried out a planned military operation in the Baghdad area of Lower Shabelle region, southern Somalia.
The operation resulted in the destruction of several sites belonging to the extremist Al-Shabaab militia.
