Hidden political agendas is a phrase that describes the secret plans of leaders who say they are helping the people but are actually just helping themselves. In places like Somalia and Iran we see people suffering under a lot of pressure and control because of these private goals. The truth is that there is not much difference between the pressure people feel in different parts of the world when they are facing oppression under any cover. Whether it is a government in the Middle East or the leadership here in Somalia the hidden political agenda often uses religion or security as a mask for crimes against the citizens. We know who is really using these things as a blanket to hide their actions while the common person struggles just to survive.

The impact of a hidden political agenda on regional stability

When a president or a group of leaders tries to take all the power for themselves they usually follow a very specific plan. This hidden political agenda includes things like changing the constitution without asking anyone else or using public money to buy the loyalty of politicians. In Somalia we are seeing the president try to pass amendments alone even though the regions do not agree. This is a clear example of a hidden political agenda that puts the interests of a small family or group above the needs of the whole country. When you use the security apparatus to threaten your opponents you are showing the world that you are afraid of a fair system and would rather rule by fear.

There is also the problem of how state institutions are being used for personal gain. If a family is exploiting the government to get rich while the economy is falling apart it is a sign of a deep moral failure. This hidden political agenda leads to a situation where the security is getting worse and clashes are breaking out in places like the Southwest region. The suffering of Somali society is reaching a very high level because of the deteriorating economic conditions and the high cost of living. People are losing their land in Mogadishu and they feel like no one is listening to their cries for help because the leaders are too busy with their own power games.

How foreign intervention feeds the hidden political agenda

Outside countries often play a big role in what happens within our borders. Sometimes these foreign powers support a specific leader because it helps their own interests even if it hurts the local people. This adds another layer to the hidden political agenda as the federal government might make decisions based on what foreigners want instead of what the Somali people need. When you see a government delaying elections or refusing to set an agenda for a vote it is usually because they are following a hidden political agenda to stay in power as long as they can. They are scared of what might happen if the people actually get a chance to choose someone else.

Religion is often brought into these fights but the truth is that faith is innocent of these actions. It is the people in power who take a holy message and twist it to justify their control and their violence. This hidden political agenda is easy to spot if you look at who is benefiting from the chaos. If the leaders are getting richer and the people are getting poorer then you know exactly what is going on. We need a system where transparency is more important than secrets and where the law applies to everyone including the family of the president.

The comparison between the situation in Iran and what we see in Somalia shows that the tactics of control are very similar everywhere. The hidden political agenda of those in charge is designed to keep them on top by any means necessary including bribery and force. We must be brave enough to speak out against these things and demand a government that actually cares about the future.

Without a real change in how things are run the cycle of poverty and violence will never end. The hidden political agenda must be exposed so that the people can finally breathe and build a life of dignity and peace. Only then can we say that we have a country that belongs to everyone and not just a few powerful individuals.
