US military strikes hit more than 170 military sites over the last two days. The US Central Command said this big move is meant to stop Tehran from harming ships that travel through the water. They want to make sure things stay safe for everyone.

The targets were mostly found along the coast close to the Strait of Hormuz. US forces hit air defense systems, supply bases, and storage spots for missiles and drones. They also focused on fast military boats that the navy uses in the area.

What Did the US Military Strikes Accomplish?

Officials from the government said these new operations hit 14 times more spots than the actions they took back in late June. The main goal of the US military strikes is to lower the power of the other country so they cannot launch more operations against commercial ships and big oil tankers in the gulf.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most critical places for global energy and oil trade. Any trouble there can cause huge problems for the whole world economy. That is why the situation has become so serious now.

A lot of things happened right before this big event. On Wednesday night, a second wave of attacks hit various bases that Washington claims are tied to sea threats. This happened right after three commercial ships got hit in the passage. The American side blamed the local forces, but the local government did not say they did it.

The American President wrote a message on Truth Social. He said this was a direct answer to the attacks on ships and warned that if it happens again, things will get much worse. Other things happened too, like a weapon landing near a nuclear plant and other attacks hitting a bridge that connects the country to big allies like China and Russia. People everywhere are watching closely to see what happens next.
