Mogadishu Rain Project is the biggest news in the city right now because the government just started a massive 900 million dollar plan to fix all the broken pipes and messy streets. For a long time every time it rained the roads would turn into rivers and people could not get to work or school but this Mogadishu Rain Program is going to change everything. The leaders say this Mogadishu Rain Project will build giant tunnels under the ground to carry the water away to the sea so the houses stay dry and safe. It is a very expensive Mogadishu Rain Program but it is needed because the city is growing so fast and the old ways of dealing with water just don’t work anymore.

You can see the big machines starting to dig already as part of the Mogadishu Rain Program in the busiest parts of town where the mud is usually the worst. This Mogadishu Rain Program will also create thousands of jobs for young men who need work to help their families buy food and clothes. Experts believe that the Mogadishu Rain Program is the only way to make the capital look like a modern city that can handle the big storms we get in the spring. Many people are happy about the Mogadishu Rain Program because they are tired of their cars getting stuck in the deep pools of water on the main roads. If the Mogadishu Rain Program finishes on time it will be a huge win for the country and show that we can build big things ourselves. We are all watching the Mogadishu Rain Program closely to make sure the money is spent well and the streets finally stay clean and dry.

Construction of the Mogadishu Rain Project

The workers on the Mogadishu Rain Program are busy day and night to lay down new concrete and metal tubes that can handle millions of gallons of water. This part of the Mogadishu Rain Program is the hardest because they have to dig very deep under the existing buildings without causing any damage to the homes above.

    Better Health for the People

The main goal of the Mogadishu Rain Project is to stop diseases that come from standing water like malaria and other sicknesses that hurt our children. When the Mogadishu Rain Project is done there will be no more smelly puddles where mosquitoes like to live and grow. This will save the hospitals a lot of work and keep our families much healthier throughout the whole year.

    Making the Roads Safer

Before the Mogadishu Rain Project many accidents happened because drivers could not see the holes in the road when they were covered by rain. This new Mogadishu Rain Project will make sure the asphalt stays in good shape so buses and trucks can move safely without breaking their wheels. It is a big step for the safety of everyone who uses the streets in the morning and at night.
