Tribal social life is a very strong force that guides how people live and talk to each other every single day in many parts of the world. It is not just about who your family is but it is about a whole system of rules and traditions that tell you how to behave.

In a tribal social life setting you are never really alone because you have a big group of people who are always looking out for you and checking what you are doing. This means that when you wake up in the morning and decide who to talk to or what work to do you are often thinking about what the elders or the rest of the tribe will think of your choices. It is a way of life that has existed for thousands of years and it still works the same way today.

The basic rules of tribal social life and decision making

The way people make big life choices like getting married or starting a business is deeply tied to the tribal social life of the area. You cannot just go out and do whatever you want without talking to the leaders first because their blessing is very important for your success.

This tribal social life ensures that the wealth and the names of the families stay strong and respected by everyone else in the village or the town. It creates a sense of safety but it also means you have to follow the path that was laid out for you many years ago by your ancestors. If you go against the group you might find yourself alone which is the scariest thing in this kind of society.

In many places the government does not reach every small corner so the tribal social life takes over the role of the law. If there is a fight between two neighbors they do not always go to a police station or a court but they go to the tribal council. This part of tribal social life helps solve problems quickly because everyone knows the history of the families involved. It is a very old way of keeping peace and making sure that small arguments do not turn into big wars that could hurt the whole community. The leaders use their wisdom to make sure everyone feels that justice was served according to their own customs.

Even the way people spend their money is influenced by the tribal social life they are part of. There is often a lot of pressure to help out your cousins or your distant relatives if they are going through a hard time. This sharing of resources is a beautiful part of tribal social life because it means nobody is left to starve or suffer alone.

However it can also be a heavy burden for someone who is trying to save money for their own future because they are always expected to give back to the group whenever they are asked. You are only as rich as your tribe allows you to be in many cases.

Daily habits like what you wear and how you greet people are also small pieces of the tribal social life puzzle. There are specific ways to show respect to the older members and specific songs or stories that everyone knows by heart. Losing this tribal social life would mean losing a big part of your identity and your history. For many youth today they are trying to find a balance between the modern world and the traditional tribal social life that their parents still value so much. They use social media but they still attend the tribal meetings to show they haven’t forgotten where they belong.

When it comes to politics the tribal social life plays a massive role in who gets the most votes. People usually vote for the person who belongs to their group because they know that person will look after their specific interests. This makes tribal social life a key player in how a country is run from the bottom all the way to the top. It can be hard to build a unified nation when everyone is focusing more on their own tribe than on the whole country but it is the reality for millions of people who trust their kin more than a politician.

Education is also changing because of how tribal social life views modern schools. Some tribes encourage their kids to go to big cities and learn new things while others worry that the city will make the kids forget their roots. This struggle is a major part of the tribal social life experience in the twenty first century. If a child leaves and never comes back the tribe loses a bit of its future strength and its ability to survive in a changing economy.

Finally we see that tribal social life is about belonging and knowing where you come from in a world that is changing very fast. Even with the internet and new technology the old bonds of the tribe stay very tight. This tribal social life provides a map for life that many people find very comforting.
